Danny Johnson was the son of a strict, abusive military man. His mother wasn't in the picture (though the lore doesn't say why that is) which left Danny all alone with his father.One thing that Danny loved, though, was the horror stories that his father would tell him. They weren't the kind you'd read from some paperback novel, invented in the imagination of the author. They were real. They were the stories from his father's experiences during his service. These stories made him appreciate his life.However, between his upbringing and his father's stories, Danny's worldview was distorted. He would argue that, for every positive advancement humanity made, it would be twisted into something hellish.And so, too, did Danny become twisted. A hunter, a story crafter, whose bloody work would cause people to sleep with one eye open, while appreciating their lives just a little more.He would make sure that his stories were the stuff of legend...
★ Note: For one of my RP threads, which is a crossover with NBC Hannibal, I created a "case file" for Danny. I would have done even more with it, but I used up all my elements. The RP is from the angle that he was released from the Entity's Realm in modern day (circa 2018), and was captured.Anyway, the "file" is full of both canonical information and my own, original ideas, including three transcript excerpts from sessions with as many doctors. Also, for anyone familiar with the show, please note that I specifically, and solely, write an AU where Chilton was rescued from Dolarhyde, so the worst it got for him was the kidnapping and being glued to the wheelchair.Even though it was made for a specific RP and a specific multiverse crossover, if you would like to see it to get a feel for my characterization, you can do so here: Case File: Danny Johnson

Hello, there! My name is Casper. I’m transmasc non-binary (my pronouns are they/them/theirs or he/him/his) and I’m over the age of 30. I’m neurodivergent as fuck, and, despite writing for shady characters, I’m a soft boi 😅I’m kind of the stereotypical introvert, so I know I can sometimes come across as standoffish (especially online), but I promise that I’m friendly! I just have a super low threshold for socializing, especially with people I don’t know or don’t know very well yet, which sometimes makes it seem like I don’t want to talk to someone, when the reality is that I just can’t at a given time. Especially since it’s super easy for me to hit “burnout mode.”In addition to Ghost Face, I also write for several characters from NBC Hannibal, mainly Freddie Lounds and Dr. Frederick Chilton, the links for each can be found below this blurb.I am debating creating a multimuse blog, as well, for other characters I may want to write in the future. I have a bad habit of just creating full new blogs for different characters, and it would be nice to just have everything else in one place.

Character Head Canons
• I'll never understand where the non-con/dub-con thing, that I see so often, came from for him. I don't see that at all in any of what we know about him in any of his characterization. Even if we look at some of the inspirations for Danny's overall character, this doesn't ring true for him. They gave him his own personality and motivations, completely separate from the Scream universe or anything else. Which is why, other than my general discomfort with the subject, I'll never write this for him.• Since his lore never addresses where his mother is, and only heavily implies that she wasn't around, I'm going to operate on the assumption that she likely passed away when Danny was still very young. I don't think he remembers her much, if at all. He also probably doesn't like to talk about her, not so much out of grief, but because he doesn't have much to say about the subject. He also likely doesn't think much about it. Both because it's something he can't change (and, therefore, doesn't see the point in dwelling on it) and because if he does think about it too much, he finds that it does bother him for various reasons. For example, if he thinks about it too much, it bothers him that he feels like he never got the chance to know her, but, also, he gets angry about the fact that he had to deal with his father all alone because she was gone.• It's canon that, when he's in his Jed Olsen persona, he talks about old-fashioned American values, etc... Personally, I highly doubt that he actually believes a word of it. Jed is more of a mask for him than the Ghost Face one. Jed Olsen says all the "right things" to look squeaky clean. Danny Johnson is the guy who will have arguments with his professor in front of the whole class about how fucked up humanity actually is.• I don't really have a definitive hc on his sexuality. I typically say "bi," but it's more of a "shrug, whatever, lol" type deal.• Looks wise, I think of him as being sort of passively, conventionally attractive. Meaning that he's someone you might see while you're out and about and think, Oh, he's nice looking, but probably won't give it much thought beyond that. I think that he likely looks the part that he's trying to portray, of that American, apple pie kind of guy. I imagine him with short, black hair (like in his Driver's License add-on and the official art that we see him in profile), and deep brown eyes. Also like the add-on, he has the scar on his forehead. Height wise, I'd say he's likely about 5'10.

• Please read these rules before requesting to roleplay.• This blog is 18+ ONLY. Therefore, I will also only write with people over the age of 18. Minors, please DNI.• If you want to RP with me, please PM me and let me know what you had in mind. Please do not post a starter without discussing things with me first. That way, we can also decide who will start things off!• I prefer public RPs, reblogging each other with our responses. HOWEVER, if you’d like to RP privately, please tell me so and I will try to work something out with you. Preferably on Discord.• That said, I cannot do RP in PMs. I tried that once and it was a bad struggle for me. Which is why I suggest Discord.• I will only accept random starters from certain people. If I get comfortable enough, I’ll let you know if I’m OK with your doing that. However, please don’t take this personally! As I stated in the About the Mun section, I’m both neurodivergent and have trouble with social spaces.• That said, if I post an Open Starter that reads “(anyone may reply),” I mean anyone, even non-mutuals. Any Open Starters meant solely for mutuals will be clearly marked to avoid confusion. However, for those who do reply (thank you!), please be aware that I may not get to yours or it may or may not turn into a longer RP.• Please understand that I often struggle with burnout and extreme fatigue, as well as other symptoms stemming from ADHD. Therefore, there will be times when I write more and times that I write less. I also might find it easier to work on one thing over another at a given time, but that doesn’t mean I don’t value the partner or the RP I’m not working on. If this doesn’t work for you, that’s totally understandable, just please don’t start writing with me if this is something you think will be a problem. As with the “romantic chemistry” rule below, if I’m not feeling the connection, or if I don’t think I’ll be a good fit as a partner for it, I will respectfully decline.• If you want to drop or rework/restart a thread or idea that we’re working on together, please let me know!• Please don’t message me asking when I’m going to get to your response. All that does is make me anxious. I’ll likely let you know, myself, when I can get around to it if you’ve been waiting.• Likewise, please don’t spam message me, especially if I haven’t responded.
